An activex hijacking, though it may also be installed by videos downloaded from movies-etc.com (when downloaded with the movie it self-advertises by sending an ad to everybody in your addressbook, just like a virus!!

 

Removal instructions

Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. Check for 'Internet Optimizer' or 'Active Alert'.

Downloaded Programs File (IE tools, internet options, temporary internet files settings button, view objects) - delete 'Media Manager'.

Possible files (find and rename) - iopti130.dll, nem207.dll, wsem210.dll, wsem214.dll, wsem21*.dll (* is variable), ioptixxx.dll, nemxxx.dll, wsemxxx.dll
