Our software requires administrator access to all Windows NT, 2000, and XP machines in order for an installation to take place. If you are running Windows 95, you need the Winsock 2 Update installed in order for our software to install. For Windows 98 and ME, we will install if the user leaves the checkbox marked for our software. Our software is not hidden in anyway and it would be very difficult to miss the list of bundled software. Other than that, I would say that educating a user to read what they are installing rather than blindly clicking on the NEXT button. And further educate them on how to properly uninstall software. Our software is not the only application that causes lost network access if removed improperly. Any application that has a reference in the LSP to a file on the hard drive that is no longer valid will provide the same results. I can guarantee that the majority of the users delete our subfolder rather than run uninstall and that is why we are trying to provide the proper steps. I could care less what you think or feel about our software because we know that any testing conducted on our software will prove otherwise. All I ask that as an MS-MVP or any other support representative, please provide proper support rather than rely on sites that have already been informed of their inaccuracies but refuse to update. These sites will be gone in the very near future and who best to support the software other than the company that develops it. We would all be better served, if you let us provide the support so that these instances can be prevented in the future.
